• Corrupt Packet Clue?

From Barry Martin@1:261/20 to Nigel Reed on Thu Mar 12 08:39:28 2026

    Hi Nigel!

Nothing major just noted a strange occurrance in a message from August
Abolins to me in ILink_Comedy. The ending:

    ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

Never heard of such a thing as to affect sleep. Doing a mental
inventory on my sleeping position over the years, I have slept in
every direction! But the bottom line has been the comfort of the
    bed.--- SBBSecho 3.11-Linux st_buffer * Origin: ILink:End Of The

The tearbar isn't starting it's own line as it should. Just wondering
if this is a clue to your occasional corrupt packet. Check his uploaded
    post for an oddball character?

    Hi Nigel!

I've sure we've mentioned August before and tried to contact him
    but to no
avail. I just give up at this stage and just parse the packet for
    good
messages and throw the others away. Their loss.

I don't recall mention of August before but that specific is not of importance. As for deleting bad messages, I suppose that's one way.

    Hi Barry,

I tried to respond to your eearlier emails but I got rejected.

Your message couldn't be delivered. When Office 365 tried to send the message, the external email server returned the error below. This is probably due to a problem or policy setting on the recipient's email system.

    [10.13.156.27] gave this error:
Remote server returned an error -> 550 Return Path not verifiable.

Not seen this before. I'll try to contact you later from my BBS email instead. Didn't want you to think I'm ignoring you.

In one way that's kinda funny!

I'm wondering if there's a bit of an overload going on? I've had two
e-mails to Europe bounce back (the four hour thing); resend no problem.
